Economic Analysis and Cost Estimation for an Iron Production Plant using Excel

In this project, I developed a complete economic analysis model for an iron production plant with a capacity of 4 million kg/year. The analysis was built using Microsoft Excel to perform engineering and financial calculations efficiently. The Excel model includes: Capital Investment Estimation (FCI & TCI) using standard chemical engineering cost correlations. Equipment cost scaling based on equipment size ranges. Direct and Indirect Cost calculations for the physical plant. Working Capital and Total Capital Investment calculations. Production Cost Analysis, including: Raw materials cost Labor cost Miscellaneous operating expenses Depreciation calculations Organized Excel sheets with structured formulas to automate calculations and allow easy modification of plant capacity or cost parameters. This project demonstrates my ability to use Excel for engineering calculations, financial modeling, cost estimation, and structured data analysis.
