تفاصيل العمل
🧩 CentOS Server – Active Directory Configuration In this project, a CentOS server was configured to provide centralized authentication and user management through Active Directory integration, enhancing security and administrative control across the network. 🖥️ Server Configuration The CentOS server was installed and updated with all required packages and dependencies to ensure stability and compatibility with directory services. Key steps included: Setting a static IP address and proper DNS configuration. Synchronizing system time using NTP to ensure consistent authentication with AD. 🗂️ Active Directory Integration The server was joined to the Active Directory domain to allow centralized user authentication and policy management. Configuration steps included: Installing and configuring realmd, SSSD, and Kerberos for domain joining and credential management. Using realm join to connect the CentOS host to the Windows AD domain. Enabling domain-based login for users and applying access control rules through SSSD. 🔒 Security and Management To maintain a secure environment: SELinux and firewalld were configured to permit only necessary services. Sudo access policies were adjusted to grant administrative privileges to domain administrators. Regular updates and monitoring tools were enabled for continuous system security and reliability.
