Sales Dashboard | Excel Data Analytics & Visualization Project
This professional Sales Performance Dashboard was developed entirely in Microsoft Excel using Power Query, Power Pivot, and Pivot Tables to transform complex raw data into clear, interactive, and actionable insights. The goal was to provide management with a single, easy-to-navigate view of overall business performance, regional trends, and sales team effectiveness.
The dashboard begins with key performance indicators: Revenue ($1.09B), Units Sold (59.9M), and Orders (499,999)—summarized through automated pivot calculations connected to the underlying Power Pivot data model. Power Query was used to clean, merge, and shape large datasets from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency before analysis.
The chart titled REGION ARPU (Average Revenue Per Unit) combines dynamic bar and line visuals created from Pivot Charts. It displays each region’s sales and revenue contribution, allowing easy comparison of performance between locations such as Alex, Aswan, and Luxor. This view highlights which regions deliver the highest value per unit sold.
The SALES REPS RANKING section ranks sales representatives based on total revenue. Using Pivot Tables and conditional formatting, this visualization helps managers identify top performers and focus on areas needing improvement. It’s an essential feature for evaluating productivity and designing incentive programs.
The ORDER SEGMENT and REVENUE SEGMENT pie charts provide a quick breakdown between High-Value Orders (HVO) and Low-Value Orders (LVO), showing that 79% of orders and 70% of revenue come from HVO products. These visuals were created through Pivot Charts linked to the data model for instant refresh and filtering.
The REVENUE OVER TIME chart tracks quarterly revenue trends from 2014 to 2016, clearly showing seasonality and growth patterns. It helps management forecast future performance and make data-driven financial decisions.
