The paper concludes that nanoscience is an interdisciplinary field with significant potential to enhance various materials and devices and to address global challenges. ملخص بالمصري: المشروع ده بيتكلم عن مجال تكنولوجيا النانو، وبيركز على أهميته في القرن الـ21 كوسيلة نفهم بيها المواد ونتحكم فيها على مقياس صغير جدًا (1-100 نانومتر). بيشرح الطريقتين الأساسيتين لإنشاء المواد النانوية: طريقة "من أعلى لأسفل" (Top-Down) اللي بتعتمد على تكسير المواد الكبيرة ، وطريقة "من أسفل لأعلى" (Bottom-Up) اللي بتبني المواد من الذرات والجزيئات. التقرير بيوضح تطبيقات تكنولوجيا النانو الواسعة، زي تأثيرها الثوري في الطب، والطاقة، والحلول البيئية، والزراعة، وتكنولوجيا المعلومات. وبتخلص الورقة البحثية إن علم النانو مجال متعدد التخصصات وليه إمكانيات كبيرة في تحسين مواد وأجهزة كتير وحل تحديات عالمية.
