Cross Sectional Study titled “The Association of Administrative Staff Satisfaction with Patient Satisfaction in the Out-Patient Department (OPD) in Rashid Hospital in Dubai, UAEE

This is a cross-sectional study that aims to investigate if there is an association or a relationship between patient satisfaction and administrative staff satisfaction in the Out Patient Department (OPD) in Rashid Hospital in Dubai, UAE. Two samples have been conducted for this purpose, the first sample is 70 patients from the Out-Patient Department (OPD), and the second sample is 30 employees from the administrative staff working in Rashid Hospital from the next departments: Registration, Case Management Section, Billing, and Claims Section, Customer Relations Section, Support Office, and Insurance Office. Two tools have been used, the first tool is the HCAHPS (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) Survey to assess the satisfaction level of the patients. The second tool is the SEHC (Satisfaction of Employee in Healthcare) Survey that used to measure the level of satisfaction of the employees. Descriptive statistics have been used to describe the demographic characteristics of both samples, the patients’ sample & the employee’s sample. The tests that have been used for the inferential statistics are Independent Samples T-Test, One-Way ANOVA to compare means, and Pearson Correlation to investigate if there is a significant association or not.
